Designing at Article level

An article typically consists of several separate items, such as head, intro, body and images. With Smart Layout, all these items are combined into one Smart Layout element. You now have to manipulate one element only when resizing or moving the article. You will be amazed to see how Smart Layout elements automatically adjust according to your personal preferences, and spontaneously flow around other items already on the page. Of course, you still have access to the individual items in the article, too.

Column control

Making your copy fit is also a breeze. With a single click, Smart Layout’s Copyfit function takes care of this, based on your own set of rules.

Now discover how easy working with columns has become. You can resize each column’s height independently, or change all columns at the same time. You can quickly add or remove columns, even with a shortcut key if you like. Smart Layout can automatically add or remove body columns and move or resize items within an article, too. Layout libraries

Another powerful feature lets you set the stroke or inset of all items in an article at once. Simply make these setting for the Smart Layout article and you’re done. By default, Smart Layout will use the column and baseline settings from the page on which it’s placed. Of course, you can overrule these settings.
